What makes this work stand out is that it’s actually done in Blender first to get the digital layout so it’s easily reproducible (well, easier).  According to Bert Simons, “building a piece like this takes about 6 hours, cutting, folding and coloring the edges before glueing.”  More process images after the jump. I searched around for more information on this work and couldn’t find much more than a name (Nele Azavedo), the same image on different blogs, and an youtube video. I wish I knew the language spoken in the video to know more about this work. For now, jump to see the video.
