Unfortunately I just found out that the lightbox script on portfolio page does not work and clicking on the project images only show the first picture in a very undesirable fashion. I am not sure if it’s because of the wordpress 2.7 upgrade of the lightbox 2 plugin upgrade or some stupidest human error on my part. Will fix it soon (or so I say…)

Finally I was able to use some sort of proxy thingie with some sort of voodoo magic to bypass the Great (XXXX in the XXX) Firewall to update my wordpress installation to 2.7!

Unfortunately, the current method isn’t consistent and it is still a long way to go before I can have a reliable way to update my blog at a regular intervals.  I will keep tryng.

This is one of those long overdue post that announces “I am not dead yet!” message.

Currently I am working hard to try to overcome the problem i am having right now with this blog - it’s been blocked by the Great Firewall in China.  Until then, updates will be sparse and far in between, but I shall do my best.

Well I have finally arrived the factory in China.  Have been here for a few days now and is adjusting to it surprisingly well.  Hopefully the creating stuff part of life can resume fairly soon.  And yes I am finally getting a MBP next week. I am jumping to Apple and hopefully it will be a smooth and no-need-to-look-back experience.

I went to HK to try to secure one but couldn’t so I can only get it next Sunday.  I learnt something interesting with the pricing.  Turns out that the prices of the higher model of the 15″ MBP in Hong Kong and China is HK$19200 and $20898 yuan - it’s around USD$2475.- (no tax) and $3057.-(10% tax not included). I am so glad I live quite close to HK and am able to get the best deal out of these three places.

Anyway, I will post about the progress when the studio is being set up. Til then.

I apologize for the lack of updates lately. For those who don’t know, I’ll be relocating to China very soon (in a week or so). It’ll be a brand new new beginning for me and I am both very excited and nervous.

What this means to this personal blog is that I will shift focus to personal projects because I will (finally) have the studio space and resources to create. Also, since I am moving to an industrial part of China that is not usually seen by tourists, I’ll from time to time share a little bit of the creative life in that small factory town if there’s any.

I don’t know how moving to China will affect the creative side of me and it’s time to find out. Wish me luck.

I wonder what the security employees will think when they see these messages in the x-ray monitors. Maybe, just maybe, they will see that we all just try to live our lives and the outcome will be different from what gizmodo envisioned.
